2018 TAFCS State Conference

TAFCS announces the call for abstracts for oral presentations, scholarly/creative showcase of programs, and poster presentations. The conference will be held at Tennesee Technological University in the School of Human Ecology, which is located in Oakley Hall. The theme of the conference supports our national theme, which is “Cultivating Social and Emotional Competence for Healthy Relationships.” (Registration and breakfast start at 9 a.m.).

In addition, Tennessee welcomes submission regarding the following topics: school & community education and AAFCS Body of Knowledge (individual strengths, family capacity building, community vitality and basic wellness).

Four categories are available for presentation:  research/educational (oral) presentations, research poster presentations, scholarly/creative showcase of programs, and application sessions.  Students are encouraged to submit work for display or presentation.

On behalf of the TAFCS Board, we hope you will be able to join us for this exciting meeting!

It is a wonderful opportunity to support your profession, support your state professional organization, network with colleagues, and increase your knowledge of current issues facing individuals and families. Contact us with any questions or needed information. Please return your registration to TAFCS Treasurer, Marti Herndon (mherndon@utm.edu) by March 15, 2018. A late registration fee of $25.00 will be added after March 15th. Thank you!
